THE audience will get a real taste of what's being performed on stage the Medway Centre, Bakewell on Tuesday.
Taste, by internationally-renowned Sheffield playwright Louise Page, explores the changes in food and farming that have taken place since the end of the Second World War.
Starting with breakfast in 1946, the play works its way through the meals o
f the day, a wedding buffet in 1967 with gloriously exotic vol-au-vents, curry in the 1980s and ending up with the return to locally-grown food in 2008. The audience are served a taste of what is being eaten.
The performance is sponsored by Freshly Organic of Rotherham, who will be providing apples and cheese.
