SLICK Londoner Matt Blaize makes a welcome return to the Last Laugh Comedy Club at the Memorial Hall this weekend.
Winner of the audience choice vote for the Leicester Mecury Comic of the Year in 2002 and finalist of the Richard Pryor award in 2004, he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the best stand-ups on the UK and international circuits. He ha
s been described by Time Out magazine as "sharp, sassy and a future star".

Before turning to stand-up he trained as a classical actor and has continued to carve out a successful career as a writer and performer and in 2007 was made one of only four short films commissioned by the UK Film Council. Taxi for the Comedian featured BBC Radio Sheffield presenter and Last Laugh host Toby Foster. Other TV work includes the BBC2 Live floor show and Channel 4's Peep Show.

Joining him on the bill tonight and Saturday are Steve Day, Britain's only deaf comedian, and Scottish comic Sandy Nelson, making his Last Laugh debut. Toby Foster will be in residence as usual. Tickets are available through Sheffield City Hall Box Office on 2233752.
