On May 28 Sheffield rolled out the red carpet to welcome fashion designer Vivienne Westwood to town.
The Millennium Galleries launch event of Vivienne Westwood: The Exhibition attracted celebrities such as TV presenter Fearne Cotton, singer and actress Toyah Wilcox, ex-footballer and reality TV star Lee Sharpe, boyfriend of Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, and film-maker, musician and DJ Don Letts.
The exhibition, which is the only UK showing outside London of the international tour of the work of Vivienne Westwood, is brought to Sheffield in partnership with the V&A in London and featuring more than 140 designs from the V&A's collection and Vivienne Westwood's personal archive.
On the day of the launch Westwood personally gave a tour of the exhibition. For those who were not on the celebrity guest list, the Sheffield Telegraph has followed Curator Louise Pullen on a tour between dresses and corsets as she tells the stories of different collections.
