BENCHMARK Recruit, the award-winning Sheffield specialist recruitment and retention consultancy, is looking forward to major expansion in the next 12 months.
The Best Young Business of the Year at the 2009 Yorkshire Excellence in Business awards began 2010 with a move into new and expanded office space.
The move coincides with the recruitment of new staff to meet the demand for Benchmark's skill in provi
ding ideal candidates for posts in the executive, commercial and digital industries across Yorkshire.
Benchmark Director Louisa Harrison-Walker confirmed that the growth and expansion was a clear sign that not only is it not all 'doom and gloom' but that 2010 will be a fantastic year for many local businesses.
"I'm so proud of the Benchmark team and how hard they have worked," she said.
"The results they have achieved identifying the region's hardest working and talented employees and securing them new employment over the last 18 months are just fantastic.
"Since January last year we have simply got busier and busier and in September 2009 we helped more employers find the talent they were looking for than in any other month on record.
"Sheffield is so rich and diverse with a multitude of industries and while I can't deny some of those industries have suffered in the last 18 months it is important to highlight that many others have excelled and expanded."
The Yorkshire Excellence in Business Award specifically highlighted Benchmark's ability to buck the trend in a difficult economic climate.
