SHEFFIELD Chamber of Commerce will share the spotlight with the achievements of local businesses over the years at its 151st Annual General Meeting.
As well as a review of the achievements of Sheffield Chamber and its last 12 months of membership activity, the event will recognise member businesses that have been trading for more than 50, 75 or 100 years, with special 'Celebration of Business' pr
esentations.

The AGM will welcome the new Chamber President, Hermann Beck, who will outline his dual aims of focussing the Chamber on providing a first class service to members and underlining its credentials as a successful business in its own right.

The event, sponsored by Litton Properties, is traditionally held at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, a venue which will this year have special meaning for new President Hermann Beck who is the hotel's co-owner. Hermann will receive the chain of office from current President Richard Wright.

Guest speaker at the AGM on Monday 15th September will be the new Sheffield City Council CEO John Mothersole who will be sharing his plans to carry the city forward.

Twelve new appointments to the Chamber's council will also be announced.
