A DR WHO fan has walked off with a unique piece of TV memorabilia, thanks to a Sheffield law firm.
A script for the Christmas special, signed by Kylie Minogue, fetched £1,100 at auction.

The unique script was the star attraction of a charity auction held by the Sheffield office of DLA Piper to raise funds for the Master Cutler challenge, in aid
of Rotherham Hospice and St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield.

Winner Daniel Simmonds, aged 33, from Kettering, said: "I'm thrilled to have secured the script. I'm a lifelong fan of Dr Who and have been collecting memorabilia for more than 25 years.

"I saw the auction advertised on a fan site and knew I had to bid, particularly as both my children are massive fans of the show now too."

On the same night as the auction, DLA Piper held a life-size Monopoly event on Sheffield's streets. Together the events raised more than £11,000 for charity.

Organiser Richard Norman, from DLA, said: "Daniel was a phone bidder on the night and I'm really pleased a true collector and fan of the show has secured this script, raising lots of money for charity at the same time."
