YOUNG professionals went faster, higher and stronger than ever before at a major networking opportunity in Sheffield.
Business professionals waved their Wii wands at the latest gathering of the DLA Piper Network at St Paul's Place in Sheffield – and helped raise more than £200 for the Master Cutler Challenge.
Teams assembled into countries of the world and took part in events from rowing to the relay as part of a fun sport-filled evening of Mario and Sonic Olympics on the Nintendo Wii games system.
Winning team Egypt included representatives from Venture Finance, Atkinson Smith and the P & A Partnership, with the money raised going to swell DLA Piper's Master Cutler Challenge coffers.
Rachel Crookes, solicitor at DLA Piper and joint chairperson of the network group, said: "DLA Network events are extremely popular, demonstrating there is a real enthusiasm for informal networking opportunities like this.
"Everyone really got into the spirit of the event and luckily there weren't any sporting injuries on the night!"
DLA Piper Network was set up more than six years ago with the aim of creating a relaxed forum where members could develop their networking and marketing skills and meet fellow professionals at social and business events.
