Legal staff clock up 365 years of loyal service

Staff from DLA Piper have celebrated a combined 365 years service with the Sheffield law firm.
22 lawyers and support staff from the firm, which has roots in Sheffield dating back over 200 years, were recognised for their long standing service - with awards for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years with the firm.
Legal secretary Barbara Saxton however, bro
ke a DLA Piper record, with an incredible 40 years service at the firm. In recognition of her years of dedication, she was awarded with a financial bonus, together with a gift of a long weekend in London, including tea at the Ritz.
She comments; "I have enjoyed every day of my 40 years with DLA Piper in Sheffield and worked with some wonderful people - I even remember when Sir Nigel Knowles, our Joint Global CEO, came to us as a trainee.
"I have seen the firm go through so many changes over the years, not least in our name and global activities.
" It's amazing to think that a Yorkshire law firm I started working for has grown into the biggest in the world, but we are still very proud of our local roots and relationships in the city, and I am very proud to be part of that team.
Steve Sly, managing partner at the Sheffield office adds; "Whatever business you are in, it's the quality of your people that make it a success, and their dedication that drives you forward.
"We are incredibly lucky to have such quality and loyalty amongst our people DLA Piper in Sheffield and would like to extend my thanks to each and every member of the team for their efforts."
