AN award-winning removal firm carried off a top national award – and delivered the £1,000 prize money straight to one of its clients.
Specialised Movers, based in Grimesthorpe, was named commercial mover of the year by the British Association of Removers.
But instead of throwing a party for staff, manager John Turner handed over the winnings to the Children's Hospital.
"We wo
n this award as a result of moves completed within the NHS in Sheffield. We decided it was fitting that this gift should go to one of the hospitals that have supported us over the years," he said.
"Donating £1,000 to the Children's Hospital is our first opportunity to say thank-you for their faith in our company over the years but more importantly, everything they do for the health of children across the region."
