The organisation which helps Sheffield businesses to be successful has itself reported an impressive performance.
The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has reported a trading surplus of £150,285 for the year ending, March 31 2008 (2007: £3,568, which included a provision for outstanding monies) with net assets of £2.86m (2007: £2.71m).
Membership has improved significantly passing the 2,000 mark – the highest ever - representing almost 100,000 employees in the Sheffield city region.
