SHEFFIELD netball firsts are into the last 16 of the BUSA knockout competition after a resounding 42-27 victory at Dundee this week.
The firsts will now travel to either Liverpool or Aberdeen for next Wednesday's showdown.
A jubilant club captain, Ellie Hauff, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be through. We were quite relaxed about it because we expected to win.
"It wa
s a brilliant game and it was probably the best we have played all season. The girls work rate was exceptional and everyone gave 100 per cent all the way through the game.
"I think we have done fantastically well this season."
On their chances of winning silverware, Hauff added: "Anything is possible - I would not place any bets on it.
"But if we keep playing like we did Wednesday, we've got a chance."
With three netball teams competing in Varsity next month, Hauff has high hopes for the forthcoming derby matches.
She said: "We are all excited about Varsity. It's always good fun.
"It's a culmination of the season I think we deserve to do well.
"It's going to be a battle for the firsts but if we play like we did today we have got a shot."
