A star vehicle for Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, Bride Wars (Cert PG) does exactly what it says on the tin.
A girlie comedy about best friends who fall out when their wedding plans clash, it all proceeds in an utterly predictable way.

Since childhood Emma (Hathaway) and Liv (Hudson) have shared a dream of a swanky June wedding at New York's Plaza Hotel but a mix-up by the wedding planner means they are both booked in for the same day. Rivalry over the respective guest lists, dresses and caterers soon escalates into dirty tricks and all out war so that the lifelong best friends become sworn enemies.

The respective boyfriends are not given a look in as the focus is squarely on the two female stars, of which Hathaway gives the more winning turn as the placid one who ends up giving as good as she gets, but it's hard to drum up much feeling for these shallow rich women.
