Enjoy some credit crunch busting fun this Easter at the National Coal Mining Museum where a host of holiday activities have been organised.
The highlight of the Easter weekend will be the Easter Egg Trail when visitors are invited to help the Easter Bunny and Spring Fairies, pictured, find their eggs. Children will need to solve riddles and explore the museum, with a sweet treat reward f
rom the Easter Bunny presented in his spring grotto at the end.

Throughout the school holidays there will also be free family art and craft activities based on Spring and the Nature Trail, held in the Education Activities room between 1pm and 4pm

There's also a host of outdoor activities including an adventure playground, a walk around Hope Pit, a guided tour with an ex-miner and stable yard with retired pit-ponies which you can visit.

Log onto www.ncm .org.uk or call 01924 848806 for information.
Indulge your creative side with an Easter themed craft session at Nostell Priory and Parkland.

The event on Good Friday gives people of all ages the opportunity to create their own Easter decorations.

The fun continues on Easter Sunday and Monday with a host of activities organised with sponsorship from Cadbury including face painting, games, an Easter Egg Trail, egg and spoon racing, and Easter bonnet competitions.

Janet Bradley, Nostell's Visitor Services Manager, said: "Hopefully we won't be building snowmen on the vista this Easter Sunday like we did last year!

"However, whatever the weather, Nostell and Cadbury's friendly staff will ensure all visitors have a great day out and take home lots of chocolate." Call 01924 863892 for more details.
