RUSSELL Watson is scheduled to return to the City Hall in Sheffield next April as part of another 17-venue UK tour.
The Salford-born singer's most recent public exposure was as head judge on BBC TV's Last Choir Standing competition, the final show attracting over seven million viewers.

His seventh studio-based album, People Get Ready, is released on November 17
and, if it goes the way all his previous ones have, it will go gold, platinum or double platinum.

Such is the singer's popularity all over the world that he has broken a succession of records, including being the first British male to occupy the No 1 spot in the UK and American classical charts at the same time and the first person to hold the No 1 spot in the UK classical charts for a year.

He successfully recovered from a second brain tumour in 2007 before undertaking a a sell-out 17-date UK tour this year.

He is said to be looking to establish his long-tern future internationally and enjoy the creative freedom his success has granted him.

He is in Sheffield on April 7 and tickets are priced £55, £37.50 and £25.
