EU accounting failure again
THE EU's accounting methods have failed yet again, I read. They do seem to help conceal massive frauds and corrupt practices – yet they have received a very low profile this year. I wonder why.
This position has been ongoing for some 14 consecutive years. Even the EU's own internal Court of Auditors has failed to sign off its accounts.
Had it been a limited company, its directors would now be confronting long prison terms for fraud; the EU Commissioners are not, I regret.
They're 'avin' a laugh, aren't they, at our expense.
