Sheffield missing out on Olympics?

From: Chris Hudson

By e-mail

I was very interested to read on the Olympics website that the BBC, in co-operation with local authorities, the National Lottery amongst others, is providing 22 big screens around the UK featuring the latest action and news from the Games this summer.

Loking through the site I was horrified to see that England’s fourth largest city is not there - Derby, Dover, Swindon, Bradford and of course Leeds, are all there but not Sheffield.

This is a travesty not to include Sheffield and I call on all Sheffielders to do whatever we can to get this changed as quickly as possible, starting with the local council & any contacts at the BBC.
