Are you a cook?
Yes, I can follow a recipe and I'm not a bad cook when I get the time

Any cooking tips?
Yes, marry a man who can cook, then you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while he rustles up a nice meal.

What is your favourite dish?
Anything; surprise me! It would be easier if you asked what I don't like – rhubarb!

And a drink to go with it?
White wine – Pinot Grigio is my favourite at present.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?
Artisan at Crosspool, or Thyme Café at Broomhill. In fact, any place where Richard Smith's team is working.

Your favourite pub in the Sheffield area?
My front room!

What's the worst meal you've ever had?
Many years ago at the Norfolk Arms in Ringinglow – under its former regime. A group of seven of us had a meal that was all frozen food and vegetables – and very little of it. We complained and got a full refund.

And the best meal you have ever had?
On the seafront at Royan in France. The seafood platter was enormous, really fresh and tasted wonderful.

Who is your favourite TV cook?
Ainsley Harriott, the handsome chap who almost dances while cooking – it's the hand gestures.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?
Getting better all the time. There is a good range of eating options with a price that is right for most occasions.
