YABBA, the Caribbean deli and café in Abbeydale Road, is now open in the evenings - with tables outside too, for those who like to eat al fresco.
Owner Stephanie Brown has been given permission to extend her hours until 10pm Tuesday to Saturday, and the additional tables mean she can now cater for up to 25 diners.

"We opened with the intention of being purely a chilled food deli, but it didn't turn out that way because people wanted hot food," says Stephanie. "Then they wanted to sit down as well... it's a wake-up call to get us sorted out!

"It's gone in leaps and bounds, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. We have some lovely customers."

Stephanie has doubled her staff to six, to cope with the extra demand. They now offer delicacies from ackee salt fish, rice and peas to Guinness punch and stew chicken, in addition to the original range of spicy sauces that first made Yabba's name.
