THE new brasserie at Greg Dyke's lavishly refurbished Mosborough Hall is due to open on May 10.
The opening of the bar and restaurant completes a £4 million restoration instigated by the former BBC chief, now chair of the British Film Industry. The work has transformed the 16th century manor house to its former grandeur, but with a contemporary twist.

Parts of the building can be traced back to Henry VIII - whose son was born there after he married off his pregnant mistress, Mary Boleyn, to then-owner Henry Carey.

The new brasserie, set within the Old Hall, features hand-finished wooden floors and contemporary artworks. Food will include locally-sourced produce.

Other new additions include a reception, conferencing rooms and a lounge bar extension with floor-to-ceiling windows.
