CHATSWORTH'S Cavendish Rooms, created in the historic stable block and refurbished by the Duchess of Devonshire, have been named best restaurant within an attraction at the Derbyshire Food & Drink Awards.
Other winners include Fischer's Baslow Hall – restaurant of the year, the Chequers at Froggatt – pub of the year, The Strand at Matlock – best bistro, and No 6 The Square, Buxton – best tea room. Master chef Nick Buckingham was named Local Food Hero.
