THE Milestone bar and restaurant at Kelham Island has relaunched its gastro menu.
New head chef Simon Ayres has ousted the bar menu of tapas and pizza and replaced it with quality dishes, championing local produce.

Simon specialises in classic dishes with a twist and his team make their own pasta, ice cream and pickles and bake fresh bread daily.

"We have listened to our guests' feedback and will now serve the gastro menu till 10pm every night, including weekends," he said.

Prices range from £6 to £12.95 for main courses served in the bar, or up to £19.95 in the first-floor restaurant. A midweek 'credit crunch special' offers two courses for £18 or three for £22.
