New chef takes over

MICHELIN-acclaimed chef Haydn Laidlow has taken over the kitchen at Bramhalls restaurant in Ashbourne.
Laidlow has worked with top chefs including John Campbell, Marco Pierre White, Anthony Worrall Thompson and Phil Vickery.

Bramhalls - formerly the White Lion pub - is being refurbished by Tim and Sharon Cross who have spent £100,000 on it since taking over 18 months ago. A four-star AA guest house, it also boasts a rosette for its restaurant, and is listed in Michelin's pub guide.
