THE Milestone is on the look-out for potential suppliers - but only if they are based within 15 miles of the Kelham Island gastro-pub.
A tasting and tapas night on July 7 will feature locally-sourced food and co-owner Matt Bigland is appealing to potential suppliers to get in touch: "We need your help if you know any suppliers, allotment owners, or grow anything in your back garden that is great quality and produced within 15 miles of The Milestone!".

"The menu has not yet been written - it depends on what we can find. It's an exciting challenge we have set ourselves and a tester for the future on how local our producers can be.

"We currently have our own rare breed pigs living the life of Riley in Grenoside, which by the first week of September should produce the highest quality pork, exclusively for our menus! So anything goes - from a box of herbs on your balcony to home-milled of flour."
Contact Matt or partner Miles Gould on 272 8327.
