THE Michelin-starred Old Vicarage at Ridgeway is one of the top 30 restaurants in Britain, according to national magazine Eat Out.
The restaurant, run by Tessa Bramley and head chef Nathan Smith, is rated 27th - ahead of big names including the River Café, L'Escargot and Gordon Ramsay at Claridges.
The accolade was awarded after the Old Vicarage won a rave review from Observer food writer Jay Rayner and was voted restaurateurs' restaurant of the year by members of Eat Sheffield in their awards earlier this year.
Eat Out magazine compiles its reports based on guide books, newspaper reviews and polls carried out by other organisations.
