WINE-lovers at six Sheffield pubs have helped to set a new world record.
They joined in a synchronised wine tasting at 680 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and more than trebled the existing record, with a total of 17,540 people taking part.

Participating pubs were the city-centre Bankers Draft, the Swim Inn in West Street, the Woodseats Palace, the Benjamin Huntsman in Cambridge Street, the Rawson Spring in Langsett Road and the Sheffield Waterworks Company in Division Street.

Bankers Draft manager Emma Parkinson said: "Customers joined in enthusiastically. It's fantastic that we played a part so successfully in creating a new Guinness World Record."
