LEOPOLD Square restaurants are celebrating summer with a mouthwatering array of new dishes.
Strada's new menu features seasonal new risottos, pasta, pizzas, salads, fish – including a whole gilthead bream stuffed with lemon and thyme.

Wagamama's offering stars a range of pan-Asian-inspired salads: Japanese-style smoked salmon, spicy cumi
n chicken, or soba-based salads for noodle fans.


Poundland meal deal


LOOKING for a cheap lunch? Poundland has introduced a meal deal featuring a sandwich, drink, crisps and chocolate for just £2.

Sandwiches, delivered fresh daily, are £1 per pack; choose from prawn mayo, coronation chicken, ham, cheese, egg and tuna. There's also a range of cold drinks and big brand snacks.


Riverford accolade treble


VEG box deliverers Riverford have been named best ethical business in the Observer awards – their third accolade of the year.

The company is planning to mark the second birthday of its Sheffield operation by expanding its delivery team.


Best of British on menu



THE Druid Inn at Birchover is hosting a Best of British evening on Wednesday, July 15. Five courses will comprise classic dishes served tapas style. Cost £25; advance bookings only.


Call for awards entries


LOCAL food and drink businesses are being urged to get their entries in for this year's Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards.
Entries are invited in six categories, ranging from pub and restaurant to local food hero and master chef. Winners will be announced in a ceremony at Thornbridge Hall in October.
