YORKIES coffee bar in York Street has become the latest victim of the economic downturn.
It closed last week and the premises have been repossessed by landlords Pollards, the coffee specialists.

Yorkies was launched three years ago by Alex Gardner, who previously managed the business as a Pollards coffee shop. She also had an Ecclesall Road branch of Yorkies, which closed last year.

It is understood that a downturn in trade and poor weather contributed to financial problems.
The future of the premises has not yet been decided.
