SHEFFIELD travellers have leapt at the chance to take the fast train to Europe - with 30,000 people using the Eurostar link at St Pancras in its first year.
The number represents a 110 per cent increase on the number of Sheffield people using Eurostar to visit Paris, Brussels and other European destinations via the Chunnel rail service.

Cheapest rail fare from Sheffield to Paris and Brussels is £79 return - and it takes five and a quarter hours to Paris and five hours 20 minutes to Brussels.
