ST Paul's Place, part of Sheffield's £130m Heart of the City programme, has won the Commercial Development of the Year award in the inaugural Yorkshire and North East Property Awards.
Developers CTP St James picked up the prize at a ceremony at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, hosted by comedian Rory Bremner.

The project includes the St Paul's Hotel, offices, City Lofts apartments, the metal-clad car park, restaurants and landsca
ped squares between the Peace Gardens and Arundel Gate.

CTP St James director David Topham said: "This development has created a new central business district for the city centre and has set a high benchmark as to the quality of the workplace provided, the architecture of the building and surrounding areas."

Andy Topley, regeneration director at Creative Sheffield, said: "The St Paul's Place development has been a wonderful catalyst not only for the city's renaissance in terms of great public spaces for people to enjoy, but also in economic terms in reinvigorating the whole of the city centre office market."
