EDALE Mountain Rescue Team was called out twice yesterday - taking the number of calls they received in a week to six.
The team was asked to help a Chesterfield woman who slipped and fractured her ankle below White Edge, near Curbar, and to a mountain biker who fractured his collarbone after falling in the Edale Valley.

The team helped a climber who fractured an a
nkle at Curbar Edge, and the day before volunteers were called to Golden Clough, above Edale, after an 18-year-old girl suffered a fit.

She had to be airlifted to hospital for treatment.

They were also called to a remote property above Hathersage to help a man with a medical condition who needed hospital treatment. They helped search for a family of three missing on Kinder Scout.
