In the festive spirit, the new team running Bannerdale Osteopaths is offering free initial consultations in return for a donation to the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
Walkley-based James and Liz Harvey, both qualified osteopaths, have just taken over at Bannerdale and the fundraising initiative gives local people the opportunity to try out the therapies they offer while raising money for a vital local cause.

An initial consultation normally costs £35. But between December 1 and December 24 the consultation is free in return for a donation of £10-15 to the Children's Hospital.

Osteopathy is used to treat and manage chronic conditions such as arthritis or rheumatism, as well as injuries to muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints, including sciatica, 'frozen shoulders', 'tennis elbow,' and postural problems.

In addition to osteopathy, the Abbeydale Road-based practice offers sports massage, hypnotherapy and reflexology, aiming to provide a one stop shop for recovery and pain relief.
