CELEBRITY chefs have been cooking up a treat in Sheffield this week...
F Word star Gordon Ramsay was working his magic on the struggling Runaway Girl restaurant and bar as part of his latest Kitchen Nightmares series.

Meanwhile Jamie Oliver took a break from filming Ministry of Food to meet staff at Aston Hall – a location for scenes in the forthcoming documentary.

Ramsay, as well known for his colourful language as his culinary prowess, was working with Runaway Girl owner Justin Rowntree and chef Richard Russell to turn the tables at the Arundel Street venue.

Filming is understood to have been going on all week behind closed doors but no-one was letting on exactly what was afoot. Insiders say the trading company had been in financial difficulty and Ramsay was there to give it a new lease of life.

The venue was apparently due to be relaunched last night with former owner Simon Peat (who ran the premises as jazz Club One Eleven) engaged to play for the big event.

Jamie Oliver used the recently-extended Aston Hall hotel during recording of his autumn series on Channel 4.

General manager Craig Squelch was happy to entertain the star and film crew and show off his new restaurant.
