1.Murdered to Death, TOADs present an Agatha Christie spoof
by Peter Gordon, St John's Church Hall, Abbeydale Road South, Totley, Wednesday to Saturday, 7.30pm (£3.50/ £3, 2366891).

2.Celebration, comedy by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall in which the first act revolves around preparations for a wedding and then the same characters assemble for a funeral in the second half, Library Theatre, Tudor Square, Wednesday-Saturday, 7.30pm plus Saturday matinee, 2.30pm (£7, 2748299).

3.Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Craig Chalmers, one of the most popular finalists in TV's Any Dream Will Do contest, .comes out on tour in the lead role of of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's sparkling family musical, Lyceum Theatre, Tuesday, 7.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday, November 26, 2pm, 7.30pm, Friday, 5pm and 8pm, Saturday, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm, Sunday, 1pm and 4pm, Audio Described and Captioned Performance, Thursday, 2pm, Signed Performance, Thursday, 7.30pm.

4.Fatal Encounter, Nicholas Ball, Anita Harris and Neil Stacy in a Francis Durbridge thriller, Buxton Opera House, Wednesday-Saturday, 7.30pm, plus matinees Thursday and Saturday, 2.30pm (£12-£16).

5.Portland Works Open Workshop, with knife maker Stuart Mitchell and Wigfull Tools, Portland Works, Randall Street, Wednesday, noon to 2pm (free, booking essential, 2734427).

6.Brett Payne at The Famous Sheffield Shop, Sheffield silversmith talks about his work. and the shop will be offering a 10% discount on goods on the night, The Famous Sheffield Shop, Ecclesall Road, Wednesday, 6.30pm-8.30pm (free, booking required, 2685701).

7.German Market, themed Christmas market with wooden cabin-style stalls atmospherically lit and a performance area for musical events such as carol singing and oompah bands, Peace Gardens, from Thursday, November 19, then daily, Sundays to Wednesdays, 11am to 8pm, and Thursdays to Saturdays, 11am to 9pm until lunchtime on Christmas Eve.

8.Soldier of Peace, screening of documentary narrated by Michael Douglas and telling the stories of grassroots activists from 14 countries around the world: who are working towards peace interspersed with contibutions by luminaries such as Bob Geldof, Richard Branson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Gareth Evans , Paul Rogers, James Galbraith, and Prince Hassan of Jordan, Hans Blix, Sheffield Quaker Meeting House, St James Street, Wednesday, 6.30pm for light, free film show, 7pm followed by discussion of issues raised by the film.

9.Can-u-Jam, live music session, all equipment provided, any style welcome, Springvale, Commonside, Walkley, Wednesdays, 8pm-11pm.

10.Songwriters Circle, open mic for singer songwriters, Burton Street Bar , Hillsborough, Wednesdays from 7pm.
