If you're not sure what to do today we have a few suggestions for you.
1 Grin up North: Rich Hall, the Edinburgh Fringe favourite and Perrier Award winner returns with his alter ego the redneck, jailbird character Otis Lee Crenshaw, Memorial Hall, Monday, 8pm (£15).

2 Cinema: Forces Occultes,
propaganda film made in 1942 in Nazi occupied France which denounces Freemasonry, parliamentarianism and Jews, being shown for the first time with English sub-titles (Cert PG, Showroom, Monday).

4 Acoustic Night, The Vine, Cemetery Road, Mondays, 8pm-11.30pm.

5 Aim to Dance,
Salsa & Merengue, Croft House Settlement, Garden Street, Mondays, beginners 7.20pm, improvers 8.15pm, advanced 9.15pm; Treeton Community Centre, Pit Lane, Treeton

6 Oliver Twist, new adaptation of the Dickens classic by Love & Madness, Buxton Opera House, Monday, 7.30pm (£10.50-£14.50).

7 Sheffield GigGoers Presents Chapman Family / The Yell / Silent Film Project and April Showered, The Harley, Glossop Road, 8pm-1am (free entry).

8 Darnall Craft Group, learn and practise a variety of crafts in friendly company, Darnall Medical Aid Hall, Fisher Lane, Mondays, 10am-2pm (£1 per week).

9 Mart Rogers Manchester Jazz, Rotherham Jazz, Transport Club, Union Street, Masborough, Rotherham, Monday, 8pm

10 Clubbing: Soup Kitchen, Melancholy Shopping Trolley brings another dose of the coolest bands around, The Forum, Devonshire Street, 9pm (free).
