Here are ten things you can do today.

6 Simon Lole, organ, the former master of the music at Sheffield (1994-97) and Salisbury (1997-2005) cathedrals now pursuing a freelance career gives a recital organised by Sheffield and District Organists' and Choirmasters' Association. 7 Sequence Dancing, Norton House Country Club, Norton Lane, Wednesday, 9pm (£1 for guests/members free).

9 Mark George, eminent barrister who works on both sides of the Atlantic will examine the operation of the death penalty in the United States and give an insight into working with prisoners on death row, Lecture Theatre 4, Sheffield University Arts Tower, Wednesday, 2pm (open to all).
