I AM sure all people and political parties in the city will welcome the news regarding the announcement of improved train journey times between Sheffield and London.
This will bring huge economic, social and environmental benefits to the city.

Improved journey times to London were a fundamental part of the Sheffield Economic Masterplan, commissioned by the Labour Administration and Creative Sheffield. The form
er Labour City Council, worked closely with our MPs, MEPs and Government to ensure these improvements actually happened.

Shortly before the May elections we were able to announce £600 million investment in our local road infrastructure.

Now in opposition, Labour councillors will continue to work closely with MPs, etc, towards further improvements to our road, rail and public transport infrastructure.
