SEEING your articles about the new John Lewis store, on the page opposite to your letters columns, has prompted me to contact you regarding the spectre of the most modern John Lewis store in the country which will be double the size of the existing one.
In my experience, since the corporate transformation from Cole Bros to John Lewis, the standard of service in the existing store has become worse and worse.

I have had no major transaction that has not been a problem. I have given up writing to the senior management because of their avoidance and denial of the deteriorating service they provide. Am I alone in this experience or do any other readers have similar views?

If they manage the new store in the same way that they manage the existing one then all we are in for is more bad service, "double the size of the existing"!
