I WAS interested to read about the problems residents on Hollins Lane, Stannington are having with traffic.
This is as nothing compared to what will happen when Wisewood School is closed.

The replacement for Wisewood and Myers Grove Schools will be on the existing Myers Grove site in Stannington. The whole of the Hillsborough school run will go through Malin Bridge every day to get there.
The Council's own consultants say traffic will double at Malin Bridge, Holme Lane and Stannington Road. Yet you quote the Council saying Holme Lane is already operating at full capacity. Local residents will confirm that this is the case.

I hope residents in Stannington make their voices heard in the forthcoming planning process for the new school. All residents of Stannington and Hillsborough face a disastrous traffic and environmental problem if the plan to merge the schools proceeds.
