IN response to your article "Petition over behaviour of bus drivers" page 5, August 1 edition, may I put in a large thank you to Stagecoach's 88/83 and First's 81/82 service.
The days are a joy now in Ecclesall/Bents Green. Gone are the nightmares of an awful service, with only a few tired out drivers - very overworked and with no toilet facilities. Also, the endless hike up Ringinglow and Greystones Roads for residents.

We have quite a few schools in our area. Many pupils walk and my goodness how they manage with loads of books, especially in rain and snow I don't know.

So we are much better off in Ecclesall - thank you. I would add that I am a retired teacher who has never owned a car and relied on buses for 40 years' working life.
