Anniversary strikes Chord

A LITTLE old world glamour and sophistication comes to South Yorkshire next month as charity organisation Lost Chord continues its 10th anniversary celebrations.

Lost Chord provides musical stimulation for dementia sufferers in homes and day centres across the region, presenting regular musical sessions at more than 60 residential homes throughout the region.

On Friday July 3, as part of the group's 10th birthday events, there will be a real taste of the way things were with an anniversary and Afternoon Tea with music in the grounds of Claremont Hospital at Sandygate. The event, with tickets costing 20 each, will include a traditional English tea and musical accompaniment from a Palm Court style trio.

"The style will be The Ritz meets Betty's of Harrogate!" said Lost Chord executive and High Sheriff of South Yorkshire Helena Muller.

"I can only say many thanks to Claremont for organising this wonderful event, in conjunction with Hugh Finnigan and his Palm Court Trio, for which all the proceeds are being donated to Lost Chord."
