BROOMHALL SHOOTING: Shocking reality of Sheffield gun crime

BLOOD spatters the pavement as a man lies injured in the gutter.

Around him horrified onlookers hold their heads in their hands.

This is the shocking reality of gun crime in Sheffield in 2009 - and the aftermath of a drive-by shooting in broad daylight just yards from people's homes which killed one man and left three others injured.

We publish this photograph to show the terrifying truth of gang and gun crime blighting inner-city Sheffield.

Other graphic photographs - showing one of the men being tended to by paramedics and residents - have been handed to the police.
