Donation helps an arty project

A PROJECT to refurbish a derelict Sheffield building moved one step closer to completion with a £5,000 donation.

St Matthew’s House, an unused building on Carver Street, is undergoing a £1.65m redevelopment into a centre for arts, creativity and well-being.

Spokesman Graham Duncan said: ”This will be a landmark project for Sheffield which is about encouraging social interaction by opening up access to art, workshops and meeting spaces.”

Westfield Health donated the cash to help finish the final part of the renovation project.
