Disadvantaged and poorly children will have something to look forward to this Christmas, thanks to the efforts of a group of estate agents.
Staff at a branch of Saxton Mee have made sure that the youngsters will have something to smile about on Christmas morning by playing Santa themselves.
The 24 workers at the Banner Cross office of the agent collected 48 gifts for children of a variety of ages, both boys and girls.
The team has made the Christmas collection for the charity Cash for Kids for the last few years, but this year’s collection exceeded all expectations.
Organiser Yolande Quickfall asked colleagues to pop an extra Christmas gift in while they were Christmas shopping and the fantastic response included everything from soft toys, books and games, to toiletries and jewellery suitable for tiny tots to teens.
Last year’s Hallam FM Cash for Kids Appeal raised £800,000 and helped 18,000 needy children across Yorkshire.
