Coco catering for business expansion

HOME delivery specialist Coco Catering is no longer a cottage industry after partners Blanche Duggleby and Richard Spataro moved the business out of their kitchen and into high-tech industrial premises.

The pair, who met at Liverpool University, set up the company in 2007, catering for everything from family meals and dinner parties to weddings and corporate events.

Word spread and their repertoire grew – but so did the demands on their Sharrow home.

Now, two years after its launch, Coco Catering is taking the leap into a three-unit block at the Alison Centre on Sheffield's Manor estate.

"It will mean a better work/home divide for us and having a shiny new kitchen and office space to work from means we can grow our business further," says Blanche.

Moving to bigger premises will give them the opportunity to take on more work. The business is also investing in a second van, enabling them to undertake more deliveries each week and to expand their service to the corporate market. Recent clients have included Sheffield Theatres, Hallam and Sheffield universities and the Sheffield Doc/Fest.

lCoco Catering is now based at Units A6-A8, Alison Centre, Alison Crescent, Sheffield (0114) 283 5804, website www.cococatering.org.uk
