Are you a cook? Cooking is one of my favourite pastimes. I enjoy experimenting with new ideas.
Any cooking tips? Being wheat, gluten and dairy intolerant, I had trouble finding ingredients until supermarkets introduced ‘free-from’ sections. I’d recommend trying them!
What’s your favourite dish? Salmon: healthy and delicious, with salad, lemon juice and buttery new potatoes, or cooked tepinyaki-style with stir-fry veg.
And a drink to go with it? We’re fans of French wines, having visited many vineyards, and a favourite would have to be Pouilly Fumé.
Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area? Ferdinando’s at Norton roundabout: superb quality, reasonably priced and you can take your own wine!
And pub? The Devonshire Arms at Middle Handley; it caters to your every need.
What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had? The first time I attempted to make gluten and wheat free lasagne. Disaster!
And the best?
At the Hyatt Hotel, Hong Kong, 30 years ago, when John and I got engaged.
Your favourite TV cook? Michel Roux; as a specialist in French cuisine, he is a man after our own hearts.
What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out? It has a lot to offer: so up and coming, with something to cater to every need.
