Anthony Donbavand is the marketing co-ordinator for Sheffield’s internationally acclaimed Drop Dead Clothing company, founded by musician Oli Sykes. He worked formerly in London and the US but now lives with his flatmate in a city-centre apartment.
Are you a cook? Unfortunately not. Luckily my flatmate is a wicked cook.
Any cooking tips? If you can’t cook, live with someone who can and offer to do the washing up!
What’s your favourite dish? I believe Christmas dinner is the correct answer…right?
And a drink to go with it? If a drink from Kelham Island Brewery is available I’ll go for that; if not, a Brooklyn lager.
Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area? As a burger fan, it’s a toss up between Bungalows & Bears or The Harley. We recently teamed up with the Twisted Burger Co at The Harley for our very own limited Drop Dead Burger, which consisted of two falafel patties, grilled aubergine, sweet chilli & lime sauce, minted sour cream, lettuce and brioche.
And pub? The Fat Cat in Kelham Island: reasonably priced, delicious home cooked food and local drinks. Can’t go wrong.
What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had? An apple pastry on holiday in France… after a few bits we noticed they were all mouldy.
And the best?
Australiasia in Manchester or Patty & Bun in London.
Your favourite TV cook? I don’t watch TV, but Gordon Ramsay is entertaining.
What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out? I think it’s great: lots of diversity if you look around.
