Have your say

Are you a cook?

I have to say yes to that. Regardless of what I do now, I am actually a trained chef!

Any cooking tips?

Take your time when preparing meals. Always season with salt and pepper – its fetches the flavors out in food.

What’s your favourite dish?

I don’t really have one favourite because I like to try different things. It depends what sort of a day I’ve had.

And a drink to go with it?

That never changes, It will always be a good rosé.

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

For Italian I like Piccolinos, for Tapas I would go to Cubana, Mexican it’s El Paso and for traditional English I would choose the Handmade Burger Company

And pub?

Definitely my local, the Punch Ball.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

That was at a pub on Birley Moor Road, I used to go there for family meals when it was first refurbished. Last time I went the food was burnt and bland.

And the best?

Just take a look at any of the choices above. They’re all very good.

Your favourite TV cook?

I think I would have to choose Gino De Campo. He knows his Italian flavours!

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

There’s lots of variety nowadays and it’s good on price too.
