Are you a cook?

Yes I’m constantly slaving away in the kitchen.

Any cooking tips?

Use plenty of herbs and spices to bring life to your food. It’s a great substitute for sauces, which can often be high in sugar.

What’s your favourite dish?

Has to be Moroccan salmon with chorizo and roasted veg. The combination of flavours is fantastic: delicious, quick and really low carbs.

And a drink to go with it?

On a good day, a home-made fruit smoothie. On a stressful day, whisky on the rocks!

Your favourite restaurant in the Sheffield area?

Loch Fyne in Glossop Road. Their selection of fresh fish is the best I’ve ever some across.

And pub?

The Nursery Tavern in Ecclesall Road. I shared many laughs with friends down at The Tav as a student as Hallam University.

What’s the worst meal you’ve ever had?

At a Chinese buffet in the centre of Sheffield… Claudia and I were in hysterics the whole time, but for all the wrong reasons!

And the best?

Beef fillet at Liverpool’s highest restaurant, Panoramic 34. Great views, great food.

Your favourite TV cook?

The hairy bikers.

What do you think of Sheffield as a place to eat out?

There’s such a wide variety of restaurants, it caters for everyone. From swanky places in the centre to more cultural on London Road.
