Bank holiday Sunday is taking on a party mood in Nether Green as three local businesses join forces for a community celebration.
Recently rebranded Oakbrook Independent Coffee Co is hosting the event in partnership with street food vendor the Netheredge Pizza Company and greengrocer Nethergreens.
The Coffee Co – formerly Oakbrook Tea House – features coffee from a changing variety of roasters and a new-look menu with the emphasis on speedy food to eat in or take out.
And this weekend manager Tom Robjohns will be serving hand-pulled ales and ice cold prosecco alongside the arista-made coffees.
The drinks will be complemented by fresh pizzas, hand made by the Netheredge team and cooked in a wood-fired oven.
And to complete the treat, greengrocer Nethergreens will have a stand selling fresh fruit and veg boxes – either ready-to-go or ordered for delivery.
The event is being masterminded by Tom, who says: “Sheffieldhas some wonderful independent foodies and this is a great chance to combine different elements into a fun, family-friendly event.
“It should give people a bank holiday feeling without the hustle and bustle of town – and we’ve made sure that it’s affordable too, so everyone can pop down for a pizza and an espresso.”
The free event will run from from 10am to 10pm on Sunday at the Oakbrook Coffee Co, with local musicians playing live throughout the afternoon.
