Library date for Joanne Harris
Joanne Harris.
BARNSLEY-BORN writer Joanne Harris is to talk about her life in writing at the Central Library in Surrey Street in Sheffield on Monday, April 29.
The visit follows the paperback publication at the end of next month of her latest novel, Peaches for Monsieur Le Cure, which returns to the setting and characters of best-selling Chocolat and brings the story up to date.
Published in 1999, Chocolat was made into a fim, starring Juliette Binoche, and was nominated for best film in the 2001 Oscars.
The talk starts at 6.30pm, and tickets, which cost £2, must be booked in advance by calling 0114 273 4727.
